FR: Scott Fisher, Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois RE: 8th Annual Chicago Botanic Garden Kite Festival (Now.. Two Days Long) Here we go again!! Flying High at the Garden! On Saturday, August 11th, and Sunday August 12th, The Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois, Gift of Wings, and the Chicago Botanic Garden, are presenting the Chicago Botanic Garden Kite Festival ... 8 Years, in the Garden in Glencoe. The event will begin at 11:00 am, through 5:00 pm, with the GRAND LAUNCH of performers kites at 11:45! Yes...Now TWO days of high flying fun!! Chicago Fire and Team EOS precision kite flying teams will be performing three times each day during this event. They are world renowned professional kite flying teams from the Chicago area. In addition, Mike Delfar, Dan Newman and the four line team of "Something Old, Something New will be performing this year. Josh Gordon and his brother Zach Gordon will be flying several spectacular stunt kite routines throughout the day. These kids are great! Milwaukee's own Paul Koepke, and Chicago's Kathy Brinnehl will be performing as the pairs team "FIRE & ICE". This family event is FREE to all, with a small fee for parking. We will also be giving away free kites to the first 25 kids that participate in the "KIDS MAD DASH". Imagine 25 kids launching their kites all at the same time. LOOK OUT!! Free Kite flying lessons will be offered and kites are available for sale during the event. How about a celebrity Rokkakku Kite demo? It’s all new this Summer!!
