FR: Scott Fisher, Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois RE: 34th Annual Frank Mots International Kite Festival (Now.. Two Days Long) Here we go again!! Flying High On Milwaukee’s Lakefront! On Saturday, September 8th, and Sunday September 9th, The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings are presenting the Frank Mots International KITE FESTIVAL ... 34 Years, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee's lakefront. The event will begin at 10:00 am, through 6:00 pm on Saturday and 5:00 pm on Sunday, with the GRAND LAUNCH of 600+ kites at NOON! Yes...Now TWO days of high flying fun!! Featured performers, from "America's Got Talent", are Connor and Amy Doran. You saw Connor Perform in 2010 on AGT, and now you will see him live in Veterans Park, along with his unbelievable mom, Amy Doran, who will perform her celebrated Charlie Chaplin routine..You don't want to miss this Revolutionary team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGvL7OTr2_0.. Also featuring the Chicago Fire and 02, precision kite flying teams who will be performing three times each day during this event. They are world renowned professional kite flying teams from the Chicago/Milwaukee areas. In addition, Alex and Julie from Montreal, Canada, will be making their appearance with their large 75 foot Teddy Bear kite, and this year , TWO Super Giant Octopus kites. Josh Gordon and his brother Zach Gordon will be flying several spectacular stunt kite routines throughout the day. These guys are great! Milwaukee's own Mike Delfar, Paul Koepke, and Brett Williams, all Professional kite flyers, will also be performing. This family event is FREE to all, with FREE parking. We will also be giving away free kites to the first 100 kids that participate in the "KIDS MAD DASH". Imagine 100 kids launching their kites all at the same time. LOOK OUT!! Free Kite flying lessons will be offered and kites are available for sale during the event. How about a celebrity Rokkakku Kite Battle? It’s all new this coming September!!
