NOW GO FLY A KITE!
The Wheaton Park District, Gift of Wings, and the Kite Society of WI & IL are proud to present the 5th Annual Wheaton "GO FLY A KITE" Kite Festival, as part of the Tour De Kites.
This event is planned for Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Graf Park from 10:00 am until 3:00 or 4:00 pm.(depending on how much fun we are having) In April 2010, in conjunction with Wheaton’s annual Celebration, Wheaton residents attempted to break the Guinness Book of
World Records for the most kites flown simultaneously (967 kites). We had over 1,100 notarized registrants that day, and launched over 900 kites all at the same time. The families that came out for the event had a great time, so we are ready to “give it another try.”
Flying for the 4th time, The World renowed Chicago Fire Kite Team, Dan Newman, EOS, and Fire and Ice, Dan Newman.
The Wheaton Eye Clinic Kids Mad Dash and the Candy drop will take place between shows until 3:00pm. Check this out! The Grand Launch will take place at 11:30.
