RE: Wings on Strings Kite Festival

Here we go again!! Flying High On at the EAA Airventure’s Museum!

On Saturday, June 21st, The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, the EAA Airventure Museum, and Gift of Wings, are presenting the Wings on Strings Kite Festival, on Pioneer Airport right next to the EAA Airventure museum. The event will begin at 10:00 am, through 5:00 pm, with the GRAND LAUNCH of 200+ kites at NOON! Yes...No Airplanes allowed..only kites and maybe a helicopter ride or two.! 

Chicago Fire and Team EOS, precision kite flying teams will be performing three times each day during this event.  They are world renowned professional kite flying teams from the Chicago.  In addition, Yves Laforest and Jean Lemire from Montreal, Canada, will be making their fourth appearance with their large 75 foot Teddy Bear kite, and this year , TWO Super Giant Octopus kites.  Josh Gordon (20) and his brother Zak Gordon (16) will be flying several spectacular stunt kite routines throughout the day. These kids are great! Milwaukee's own Mike Delfar, Paul Koepke, and Brett Williams, all Professional kite flyers, will also be performing.    This family event is FREE to all, with FREE parking.

We will also be giving away free kites to the first 75 kids that participate in the "KIDS MAD DASH".  Imagine 75 kids launching their kites all at the same time.   LOOK OUT!! Free Kite flying lessons will be offered and kites & Johnsonville Brats are available for sale during the event. How about a celebrity Rokkakku Kite Battle? It’s all new this Summer!!
